Honey Chilli Tofu
Honey Chilli Tofu is a popular dish in Indian Chinese cuisine, known for its sweet and spicy flavors. It's a perfect combination of crispy tofu coated in a sticky honey chilli sauce.
Ingredients
- 400g firm tofu, cut into cubes
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- 2 tbsp oil for frying
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, diced
- 1/4 cup spring onions, chopped
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Press the tofu cubes between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Coat the tofu cubes with cornflour.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the tofu cubes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- In a separate pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and sauté ginger and garlic.
- Add bell peppers and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, chilli sauce, and salt. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add the fried tofu cubes and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with spring onions and serve hot.
