Ingredients
- 1 lb pork belly, cut into small pieces
- 2 bundles vermicelli noodles
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
- Soak the vermicelli noodles in hot water until softened, then drain and set aside.
- Heat the cooking oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add the pork pieces and cook until browned.
- Add the ginger, garlic, and green onions to the pork. Stir-fry for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and sugar. Stir to coat the pork evenly.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
- Add the soaked vermicelli noodles to the wok. Stir gently to combine with the pork and sauce.
- Cover and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the noodles have absorbed the flavors of the sauce.
- Serve the Hong Shao Fen Si Rou hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
