Ingredients
- 1 lb beef brisket, cut into chunks
- 1 piece ginger, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 star anise
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 6 cups beef broth
- 12 oz hand-pulled noodles
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the beef chunks over medium heat.
- Add ginger, garlic, and green onions to the pot and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the star anise, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours.
- Cook the hand-pulled noodles according to package instructions.
- To serve, place a portion of noodles in a bowl and ladle the braised beef and broth over the top.
