Ingredients
- 500g pork belly, thinly sliced
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 piece ginger, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp five-spice powder
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the pork slices and stir-fry until browned.
- Push the pork to the side of the wok and add garlic, ginger, and green onions. Stir-fry until aromatic.
- Stir in soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, and five-spice powder. Mix well.
- Add the potatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the pork and potatoes are tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional green onions, if desired.
