Ingredients

  • 500g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper, coarsely ground
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
  3. Heat the remaining oil in the wok. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Return the beef to the wok. Add sugar and salt. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes until everything is well combined and the beef is cooked to your liking.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot with steamed rice.
