Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2-3 dried red chilies, chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix hoisin sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Push the chicken to one side of the skillet and add garlic, ginger, green onions, and dried chilies. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the hoisin sauce mixture and chicken broth. Stir to combine and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot over steamed rice.
