Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2-3 dried red chilies, chopped (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix hoisin sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
- Push the chicken to one side of the skillet and add garlic, ginger, green onions, and dried chilies. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the hoisin sauce mixture and chicken broth. Stir to combine and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot over steamed rice.
