Ingredients

  • 1 whole fresh fish (such as sea bass or snapper), cleaned and scaled
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, julienned
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground white pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the fish on a heatproof dish and sprinkle with salt.
  2. Spread the garlic, ginger, and green onions over the fish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper. Pour this mixture over the fish.
  4. Steam the fish over high heat for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
