Ingredients
- 1 kg beef, cubed
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 red bell peppers, diced
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp caraway seeds
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp hot paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until they are soft and translucent.
- Add the beef cubes and brown them on all sides.
- Stir in the caraway seeds, sweet paprika, and hot paprika.
- Add the beef broth, bay leaves, and season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 1 hour, then add the potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, and tomatoes.
- Cook for an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the beef and vegetables are tender.
- Adjust the seasoning if needed, then remove the bay leaves before serving.
