Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup cooked rice

  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, cooked rice, onion, garlic, paprika, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Stuff the bell peppers with the meat and rice mixture.
  5. Place the stuffed peppers in a deep skillet or baking dish.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the tomato sauce and broth, then pour the mixture over the stuffed peppers.
  7. Cover the skillet or baking dish with a lid or foil and cook on the stovetop over medium heat for 45-50 minutes, or bake in the preheated oven for the same amount of time.
  8. Once the peppers are tender and the filling is cooked through, remove from heat and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
