Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 onions, finely sliced
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 cup cashew nuts, ground into a paste
- 1/4 cup fresh cream
- 1/4 cup ghee
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
- Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and add the sliced onions. Cook until the onions turn golden brown.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
- Add the cashew nut paste, garam masala, and fresh cream. Mix well and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves on top and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Hyderabadi Dum Ka Murgh is ready to be served hot with naan or steamed rice.
