Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef

- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup lingonberry jam
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Dredge the meatballs in flour, shaking off any excess.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the lingonberry jam and beef broth. Bring to a simmer, stirring to combine the jam and broth.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet, coating them in the lingonberry sauce. Simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Stir in the heavy cream and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.
