Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh tuna, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the coconut oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the tuna pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Add the red bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the coconut milk, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the Ika Tausala hot over steamed rice.
