Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets, cut into chunks
- 3 shallots, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 red chilies, sliced
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 3 stalks lemongrass, smashed
- 5 kaffir lime leaves
- 2 Tbsp tamarind paste
- 1 Tbsp palm sugar
- Salt to taste
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- In a pot, combine water, shallots, garlic, tomatoes, red chilies, green chilies, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves. Bring to a boil.
- Add tamarind paste, palm sugar, and salt. Stir well.
- Add fish fillets and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
- Adjust the seasoning to taste.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
