Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4-5 okra, halved
- 3-4 green chilies, sliced
- 1 stalk lemongrass, bruised
- 3 tablespoons tamarind paste
- 1 tablespoon palm sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine water, tamarind paste, palm sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil.
- Add the lemongrass, onion, and tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the fish fillets and okra. Cook for another 15-20 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
- Add green chilies and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot with steamed rice.
