Ikan Bakar Ala Arab (arabian Style Grilled Fish)

Ingredients

  • 4 whole fish (such as snapper or sea bass)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Clean and gut the fish, then make 3 diagonal cuts on each side of the fish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, paprika, salt, and olive oil to create a marinade.
  3. Rub the marinade all over the fish, including inside the cuts. Let the fish marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the marinated fish on the grill and cook for 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has grill marks.
  5. Remove the grilled fish from the heat and garnish with sliced lemon and fresh cilantro.
