Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup tamarind pulp
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the lamb pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Stir in the turmeric, red chili, cumin, and coriander powders, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the tamarind pulp and water. Cover and simmer for 45-50 minutes or until the lamb is tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice or naan.
