Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets
- 1 cup tamarind pulp
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the fish fillets with turmeric powder and salt. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated fish fillets until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, red chili powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
- Add tamarind pulp and cook for a few minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Add the fried fish fillets to the tamarind mixture and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
