Imperial Jade Beef (帝王玉翠牛肉)
帝王玉翠牛肉 (Imperial Jade Beef) is a classic dish from Chinese Imperial Cuisine, known for its tender beef and vibrant green vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 1 cup snow peas
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and chicken broth. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add garlic, snow peas, broccoli, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the wok and pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
