Ingredients
- 10 red chili peppers
- 5 shallots
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 tomato
- 1 teaspoon shrimp paste
- 1 tablespoon palm sugar
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients by chopping the red chili peppers, shallots, garlic, and tomato.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and dry roast the shrimp paste for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- In a blender, combine the roasted shrimp paste, chopped chili peppers, shallots, garlic, and tomato. Blend until smooth.
- Transfer the blended mixture to a pan and cook over low heat. Add palm sugar, lime juice, and salt. Stir well and cook for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let the Sambal Symphony cool before transferring it to a jar or container.
