Indonesian Masala Omelette

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs with turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  2. Add the chopped onion, tomato, green chilies, and fresh coriander leaves to the egg mixture and mix well.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  4. Pour half of the egg mixture into the pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is set and golden brown.
  6. Flip the omelette and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the other side is cooked through.
  7. Repeat with the remaining egg mixture to make another omelette.
  8. Serve hot with toasted bread or steamed rice.
