Indonesian Tofu Omelette (tahu Telur)

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, diced
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 2 shallots, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the diced tofu, bean sprouts, shallots, and garlic.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, flour, water, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Combine the tofu mixture with the egg mixture.
  4. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  5. Pour the tofu and egg mixture into the pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden and crispy.
  7. Flip the omelette and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  8. Transfer to a serving plate and cut into wedges.
