Ingredients
- 1 kg large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup Chibuku (traditional Zambian sorghum beer)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine Chibuku, honey, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers and brush with vegetable oil.
- Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are opaque and slightly charred.
- Brush the shrimp with the remaining marinade while grilling to create a glaze.
- Remove the shrimp from the grill and serve with lemon wedges.
