Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs stewing beef, cubed
- 2 onions, chopped

- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup Guinness stout
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the beef over medium-high heat.
- Add the onions, carrots, celery, and garlic, and cook until the vegetables are softened.
- Sprinkle the flour over the beef and vegetables, stirring to coat.
- Pour in the Guinness, beef broth, and add the tomato paste and bay leaves. Season with salt and pepper.
