Ingredients
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons Irish whiskey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 egg whites
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate chips over a pot of simmering water, stirring occasionally.
- Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the Irish whiskey and vanilla extract. Let it cool to room temperature.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture, followed by the beaten egg whites, until well combined.
- Divide the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
