Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 sheets of store-bought puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, thyme, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into circles using a round cutter.
  3. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto one half of each pastry circle, leaving a border around the edge.
  4. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg, then fold the pastry over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal the patties.
  5. Brush the tops of the patties with the remaining beaten egg.
  6. Place the patties on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
