Island Style Beef Patties

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced

- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, thyme, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into circles using a round cutter.
- Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto one half of each pastry circle, leaving a border around the edge.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg, then fold the pastry over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal the patties.
- Brush the tops of the patties with the remaining beaten egg.
- Place the patties on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
