Island Style Fish And Chips

Ingredients
- 1 lb white fish fillets (such as snapper or grouper)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- In another dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Dip each fish fillet in the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, coating evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the fish fillets until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- While the fish is frying, heat oil in a separate pot for the fries. Fry the potato fries until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
