Ingredients
- 8 oz (225g) dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
- 2 tbsp (30ml) Isle of Arran whisky
- 1/4 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder, for rolling
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- Place the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 1 minute to soften the chocolate.
- Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Stir in the Isle of Arran whisky until fully combined.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours, or until firm.
- Using a small scoop or spoon, portion the chocolate mixture and roll into 1-inch balls.
- Roll the truffles in the unsweetened cocoa powder until evenly coated.
- Place the truffles in mini paper cups and refrigerate until ready to serve.
