Isle Of Arran Whisky Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225g) dark chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Isle of Arran whisky
  • 1/4 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder, for rolling

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  2. Place the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 1 minute to soften the chocolate.
  4. Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  5. Stir in the Isle of Arran whisky until fully combined.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours, or until firm.
  7. Using a small scoop or spoon, portion the chocolate mixture and roll into 1-inch balls.
  8. Roll the truffles in the unsweetened cocoa powder until evenly coated.
  9. Place the truffles in mini paper cups and refrigerate until ready to serve.
