Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3-4 green chilies, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion, green chilies, and diced red bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the minced ginger and garlic, and cook for another minute.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and cook until they turn pink and opaque.
- In a small bowl, mix together the tomato ketchup, soy sauce, chili powder, sugar, and salt. Pour this sauce over the cooked shrimp and vegetables.
- Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce coats the shrimp and thickens slightly.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
