Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced Turkish sausage (sucuk)
  • 1/4 cup sliced green peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the olive oil and warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes, then place it back in the bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a round pizza crust.
  4. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Place a pizza crust in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  5. Spread tomato sauce on the cooked side of the crust, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, Turkish sausage, green peppers, red onions, and black olives.
  6. Cover the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is crispy.
  7. Repeat with the remaining pizza crusts and toppings.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy your İstanbul Sokak Pizzası!
