Italian Caprese Bruschetta

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of Italian bread
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 pound fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly charred.
  3. Remove the bread from the grill and rub one side of each slice with the peeled garlic cloves.
