Italian Caprese Bruschetta
This Italian Caprese Bruschetta is a classic appetizer that combines the fresh flavors of tomatoes, basil, and mozzarella on top of crispy bread. It's the perfect dish to start off a meal or to serve at a gathering with friends and family.
Ingredients
- 6 slices of Italian bread
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 1 pound fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly charred.
- Remove the bread from the grill and rub one side of each slice with the peeled garlic cloves.
- Top each slice of bread with a slice of tomato, a slice of mozzarella, and a few basil leaves.
