Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook the ground Italian sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the marinara sauce, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Split the slider buns and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  5. Spoon the sausage mixture over the bottom halves of the buns.
  6. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sausage mixture.
  7. Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
  9. Sprinkle the chopped fresh basil over the sliders before serving.
