Ingredients

  • 1 kg flour
  • 250g margarine
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6-8 hard-boiled eggs

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, margarine, oil, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball. Place the dough balls in a greased baking dish, cover with plastic wrap, and let them rest in the refrigerator overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 100°C (212°F). Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 8 hours, or until the jachnun is golden brown and flaky.
  4. Serve the jachnun hot, accompanied by hard-boiled eggs and a drizzle of honey.
