Ingredients
- 1 cup Jack Daniels whiskey
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, heat the whiskey over medium heat until it simmers. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the cooled whiskey until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool before serving.
