Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jack Daniels whiskey
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the whiskey over medium heat until it simmers. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the cooled whiskey until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool before serving.
