Jackfruit Seed Thoran

Ingredients

  • 1 cup jackfruit seeds, peeled and sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoons grated coconut
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  2. Add chopped onion, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add the sliced jackfruit seeds, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook covered for 10 minutes.
  4. Add grated coconut and mix thoroughly. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and serve hot.
