Ingredients
- 1 cup of tteokbokki rice cakes
- 1/2 cup of jajang black bean sauce
- 1/4 cup of diced onion
- 1/4 cup of diced zucchini
- 1/4 cup of diced carrots
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 cups of water
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion, zucchini, and carrots to the pan and sauté until they are slightly softened.
- Add the tteokbokki rice cakes, jajang black bean sauce, sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper to the pan. Stir well to coat the rice cakes and vegetables with the sauce.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the rice cakes are tender.
- Once the 짜장떡볶이 (Jajang Tteokbokki) is ready, transfer it to a serving dish and enjoy hot.
