Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and chilled butter. Use your fingers to rub the butter into the flour until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  2. Add cold water gradually and mix until the dough comes together. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned. Add the curry powder, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into circles. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto one half of each circle, then fold the other half over to enclose the filling. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
  6. Place the patties on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
