Javanese Noodles (sarawakian Mee Jawa)
Javanese Noodles, also known as Sarawakian Mee Jawa, is a popular dish in Sarawakian cuisine. It features a flavorful noodle dish with a rich, spicy, and tangy gravy, topped with a variety of delicious toppings.
Ingredients
- 300g yellow noodles
- 200g firm tofu, sliced
- 100g bean sprouts
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, halved
- 2 stalks of green onions, chopped
- 1 cup of fried shallots
- 1 cup of prawn crackers
Instructions
- Boil the yellow noodles until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a pot, heat the Javanese noodles gravy according to package instructions.
- Add the tofu and bean sprouts to the gravy and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Divide the cooked noodles into serving bowls and ladle the hot gravy over the noodles.
- Garnish with hard-boiled eggs, green onions, fried shallots, and prawn crackers.
