Jebwejebwe (marshallese Style Bbq Ribs)
Jebwejebwe, also known as Marshallese Style BBQ Ribs, is a popular dish in Marshallese cuisine. These ribs are marinated in a flavorful sauce and then grilled to perfection, resulting in tender and juicy meat with a delicious smoky flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs pork ribs
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Place the pork ribs in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the ribs. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade and grill for 20-30 minutes on each side, or until the meat is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Remove from the grill and let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving.
