Jeyuk Bokkeum (제육볶음)
제육볶음 (Jeyuk Bokkeum) is a popular Korean dish made with thinly sliced pork stir-fried with spicy seasonings. It's a flavorful and satisfying dish that is perfect for sharing with friends and family.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pork belly, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Korean red chili pepper paste (gochujang)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil to make the marinade.
- Add the pork slices to the marinade and mix well to coat the meat. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
- Add the marinated pork to the skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the meat is cooked through.
- Add the sliced onion and green onions to the skillet and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Transfer the jeyuk bokkeum to a serving dish and serve hot with steamed rice.
