제육볶음 (Jeyuk Bokkeum) is a popular Korean spicy pork stir-fry dish that is packed with flavor and heat. It's a perfect dish for spice lovers and can be enjoyed with a bowl of steamed rice.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) pork belly, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 3 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Add the pork slices to the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated pork and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the pork is cooked through.
- Add the onion, green onions, and garlic, and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional green onions if desired.
