Jeyuk Bokkeum Spicy Pork Stir-Fry (제육볶음)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) pork belly, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the pork slices to the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated pork and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the pork is cooked through.
  5. Add the onion, green onions, and garlic, and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional green onions if desired.
