Ingredients

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2-3 dried red chilies
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the yogurt, gram flour, turmeric powder, and water until smooth.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, dried red chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté until the seeds crackle.
  3. Pour the yogurt mixture into the pan and bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the soup thickens.
  5. Season with salt and serve hot with rice or roti.
