Jiaozi (shandong Steamed Dumplings)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 cups finely chopped Napa cabbage
  • 3 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 package round dumpling wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, Napa cabbage, green onions, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and pleat to seal the dumplings.
  3. Place the dumplings in a steamer lined with cabbage leaves or parchment paper. Steam for 15 minutes until the filling is cooked through.
  4. Serve the Jiaozi hot with dipping sauce.
