This Jordanian-style falafel burger recipe combines the flavors of traditional falafel with the convenience of a burger. It's a delicious and satisfying dish that's perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for serving
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped but not pureed.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the flour until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
- Heat some oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
