Ingredients

  • 500g mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 sprigs curry leaves
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook until the tomatoes turn mushy.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms, salt, and curry leaves. Mix well and cook for 10-12 minutes until the mushrooms are cooked and the masala is well coated.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
