Kabab (omani Spiced Lamb Kofta)

Ingredients

  • 500g ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, grated onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a long, oval-shaped kofta.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the koftas for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
  4. Serve the Omani Spiced Lamb Kofta hot with flatbread, rice, or salad.
