Kabab (omani Spiced Lamb Kofta)
Kabab, also known as Omani Spiced Lamb Kofta, is a popular dish in Omani cuisine. These flavorful lamb koftas are seasoned with a blend of aromatic spices and are perfect for grilling or pan-frying.
Ingredients
- 500g ground lamb
- 1 small onion, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, grated onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a long, oval-shaped kofta.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and cook the koftas for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- Serve the Omani Spiced Lamb Kofta hot with flatbread, rice, or salad.
