Kabob (fragrant Herb-stuffed Fish)
Kabob (Fragrant Herb-Stuffed Fish) is a traditional Uzbek dish that is bursting with flavors of fragrant herbs and tender fish. This recipe is perfect for a special occasion or a family gathering.
Ingredients
- 4 whole fish, cleaned and gutted
- 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 cup fresh dill, chopped
- 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- In a bowl, mix together the chopped cilantro, dill, parsley, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each fish with the herb mixture and a few slices of lemon.
- Brush the fish with olive oil and season with additional salt and pepper.
- Grill the fish for about 10-12 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
