Ingredients
- 2 lbs goat meat, cut into pieces
- 2 cups pikliz (spicy cabbage slaw)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 scotch bonnet pepper, minced
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, marinate the goat meat with garlic, onion, scotch bonnet pepper, lime juice, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the marinated goat meat and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Add enough water to cover the goat meat, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Serve the fried goat with pikliz on the side.
