  2. Gradually whisk in the cornmeal, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
  4. Stir in the crumbled cheese until melted and well combined.
  5. Season with salt to taste.
