Kacho (marshallese Style Beef And Broccoli Stir-fry)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, ginger, water, and cornstarch to make the sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet, pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the Kacho hot over steamed rice.
