Kacho (marshallese Style Beef Stir-fry)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef from the wok and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add more oil if needed and sauté garlic, onion, and bell pepper until slightly softened.
  4. Add broccoli and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the wok and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
  6. Remove from heat and serve hot.
