Kacho (marshallese Style Beef Stir-fry)
Kacho is a popular dish in Marshallese cuisine, featuring tender beef stir-fried with a flavorful combination of vegetables and seasonings. This dish is a staple in many Marshallese households and is perfect for a quick and delicious meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add more oil if needed and sauté garlic, onion, and bell pepper until slightly softened.
- Add broccoli and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
- Return the beef to the wok and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
